With a view to facilitating the deployment of Transport ticketing on NFC* mobile phones, AFSCM and Calypso Networks Association (CNA) have developed a solution allowing users to travel on several networks with the same smart-ticket.
This solution, based on an application developed by CNA called Triangle, shared by public transport operators (PTO), public transport authorities (PTA) and managed by mobile operators (MNO), is the subject of two specifications/publications:
- a CNA technical specification for the Trusted Service Managers (TSM) of transport operators about the management (provision, SIM card loading and usage) of the Calypso application on French mobile phones, taking into account the requirements of AFSCM and procedures of the MNO’s TSM. This guide describes the life-cycle of a Calypso application and includes in particular the requirements regarding the pooled application Triangle 2.
- a similar AFSCM document for the MNO TSMs, a functional guide for the implementation of the Triangle 2 application and the Calypso "Shared Package". The latter is an application package shared by PTAs to install Calypso applications including the Triangle 2 pooled application.
Above all, it is important to emphasize the fruitful joint work that enabled the implementation of Calypso applications in compliance with AFSCM and Calypso security rules. AFSCM and CNA are especially grateful to SNCF and RATP for their contribution to this work.
